Coffee from the Land
Qahwat Al'ard means "coffee from the land," and that simple phrase carries everything we believe. Great coffee starts in the soil, in the altitude, in the hands of farmers who have cultivated these traditions for generations. Our job is to honor that journey from seed to cup, and to share it with you.
Our Story
We founded Qahwat Al'ard because we felt something was missing from the way most people experience coffee. Too often, the story gets lost. The farmer's name disappears. The region becomes a footnote. We wanted to change that.
Our roots trace back to the cultural and historical birthplace of coffee itself: Ethiopia and Yemen, where the ritual of preparing and sharing coffee has shaped communities for centuries. That heritage is not a marketing detail for us. It is the foundation of everything we do.
From there, we built relationships with estates and cooperatives across Colombia, Kenya, Uganda, Sumatra, Peru, Bali, Mexico, and beyond. Every origin we source from was chosen for a reason: exceptional growing conditions, dedicated farmers, and a commitment to sustainable practices that protect the land for the next generation.
What We Believe
- Traceability matters. Every bag we sell can be traced back to its origin. We want you to know exactly where your coffee comes from, who grew it, and how it was processed.
- Freshness is non-negotiable. We roast to order. Your beans are never sitting on a shelf for weeks. When your coffee arrives, it carries the full depth of flavor and aroma that the origin intended.
- Sustainability is a practice, not a slogan. From the farms we partner with to the way we package and ship, we work to reduce our footprint and support the communities that make specialty coffee possible.
